the bi-coastal duo of california trumpeter kris tiner and new york guitarist mike baggetta deals with a music which is spare, ethereal, and highly exploratory. both are at the forefront of a generation of young creative musicians who are contributing original new music and pushing a re-examination of the roles and possibilities of their instruments. baggetta’s recent solo cd and tiner’s latest ensemble projects have been gathering critical praise in their respective zones. their debut cd of original compositions and improvisations, there, just as you look for it was released on the pfmentum label in march 2005. this performance is part of their east coast tour.
