3play+ returns to the Zeitgeist with its unique brand of space-jazz, where freedom and interplay rule. Tonight we are proud to feature special guests Phil Grenadier and Ralph Rosen for a special CD release concert.
The concert will feature music from the self-produced CD, including several tunes penned by Ralph, who has a unique compositional voice replete with flowing melodies, fresh harmonies and swinging rhythms.

Phil, known for his “luminous free-flowing constructs”, has a beautiful sound which merges classic jazz influences with avant-garde musings. His openness and great ears make for a perfect 3play match. Some of his credits include performances with Chris Potter, Freddie Hubbard, Richie Beirach, Mulgrew Miller and Billy Hart.
Phil and Ralph will be joined by 3play regulars Josh Rosen, piano, and Lello Molinari, bass, for an exciting evening of free improvisation, original compositions, deconstructed standards and a surprise cover tune or two.
