For the next installment of the Kabarett 16-Bit, the Ominous Collective welcome electro-punk superheroes Livesexact! A mix of ketars, synths and the vocal assault of Alexplosive, they are best summed up by the band’s own mission; “Livesexact returns the energy, power & spectacle of live performance to the realm of electronic music, reformulating the band’s relationship with its audience, so that, ultimately, _everyone_ gets to GET DOWN!”

Originally scheduled to perform in our May but unable to do so because of conflicting issues, Collective member and poet Edward J. Carvalho makes his second appearance with the Kabarett in June. He is a twice-nominated Pushcart Prize writer (2004-2005) who has been writing poetry for 15 years. Edward’s poetry is often described as having a style that is ‘original, innovative, imaginative and brutal.’

Also appearing that night are Optic Rose, an industrial band from New Hampshire with a very dark and distinctive sound, and Leah Callahan’s Illegitimate Theatre Company. As always, Jutta will be on hand to make sure the evening is kept out of control.
