On Saturday March 5 the Ominous Collective will bring you the second in a series of residencies for the Collective at the Zeitgeist Gallery this time with brand new Ominous Collective members HUMANWINE, The Imo’an Performance Troupe, The Illegitimate Theatre Company, Thylacine and some friends from outside the Ominous Collective, Blitzkreigbliss. MC will be the illustrious Jutta.
HUMANWINE is a two and a half month old band that just moved to Boston. They blend the carnivalesque theatricality of recent trendsetters The Dresden Dolls (HUMANWINE vocalist Holly was once a member of a traveling circus); a radical left political stance (their name refers to a Matrix-like siphoning of the proletariat) and some serious genre bending with their capacity to turn from avant-garde jazz to metal to goth in a matter of moments. Come see them before everyone else knows about them.
Blitzkreigbliss is another brand spanking new band. The Noise revered them in a recent review likening the vocalist Sophia to Patti Smith. She will be performing a stripped down set as will Thylacine, who mesmerized the packed house at the last Ominous Collective show. Also performing short (but not necessarily sweet) sets will be The Imo’an Performance Troupe and The Illegitimate Theatre Company. MC Jutta will get this arty party started at 7 p.m and finish it at 9 sharp.
