Metazoa is a collective of improvising musicians from Canada, Norway and Sweden and is appearing for the first time in the US February 6. The musicians are sensitive improvisers and have appeared in many different constellations throughout Europe, notably with Louis Sclavis, Bobo Stenson and Ståle Storløkken. Attempting to erase the boundaries between contemporary chamber music and improvised music, Metazoa will show the audience a unique and sensitive way of communicating musically.
