The Boston Jazz Collective presents its first membership drive at 7:00 p.m. This concert will be free to all prospective members, and will feature several of the greatest bands on the Boston jazz scene.
The BJC will serve as an official entity behind which Boston jazz artists, for a basic annual membership fee of $15, can find greater visibility for their music. This will be accomplished by the creation of a BJC website, advertising of BJC member concerts through mailings and newsletters, and periodic BJC-sponsered events. Through this group effort, the BJC hopes to foster greater public awareness of the thriving Boston jazz scene. Come join us for our first official night on the town, hosted by the Zeitgeist Gallery!
We are accepting new members, who will get:
a.. immediate access to BJC promotional services such as calendar and newsletter
b.. placement on the new BJC website
c.. a wider network of support through involvement in an official entity, putting a face to the thriving Boston jazz scene!
Member CDs will be for sale, and present also will be our sponsors Magpie Sound and web designer Grace Solivan.
