Veronique Epiter: Graduated in 1991 from Boston Conservatory of Music earning a master’s degree in vocal therapy. Veronique’s art and songs appeared in numerous programs on BNN TV and have been recently featured in The Beacon Hill Times (May 11, 2004). Both Veronique’s poems and paintings share her craving for peace. In Boston’s ocean of talented visual artists, Veronique is unique.
“Veronique Epiter ……….does nothing without intent and meaning. When viewers look at her work in the West End Library group show through the month of May, she will have made sure that no one can just walk past.” Judy Kermis Blotnick, The Beacon Hill Times
David Rovics: In this era of wars on many fronts, no Boston singer and lyric writer has lyrically mastered the predicament as David Rovics. In an intelligently sarcastic intonation of the status quo, he entertains and educates. His musical caravan has toured around the US, Canada and the UK. Being a busy performer, this cultural event is an excellent night to spot David singing and appreciate musical activism.
“If the great Phil Ochs were to come back from the dead tonight he’d probably be hailed as the new David Rovics.” Andy Kershaw, BBC Radio 3
Wafaa’ Al-Natheema has been writing poetry and prose since the age of nine. “Untamed Nostalgia — Wild Poems” is her first published book in 2004. She earned bachelor degrees in civil engineering (1986), and political science (1991) and went on to work in both fields sometimes simultaneously. Al-Natheema is the founder of the Institute of Near Eastern & African Studies (INEAS)
