Featured for this performance will be the premier of
Auddity’s new suite entitled ‘Antartican Walrus Hunt Disaster’. This work
reflects the traditions, struggles and history of the Antartican tribal
people utilizing free improv, overtone singing, percussion and spoken
word.
This will not be an ethnomusicological gringo regurgitation but an attempt
at representing some of the mystery and spirit of the grand Antarticans.
Also featured will be a solo percussion performance by Michael Knoblach
and an opening set by Sitar Tabla Power featuring Chris Mascara. Any
resemblance to any real or imagined Antarticans is purely coincidental.
