Trumpeter/composer/educator Jerry Sabatini has performed around New England since the early 80’s, and led the critically-acclaimed Sonic Explorers for much of the last decade. His compositions draw on a variety of influences, most prominently the odd meters and eastern tonalities of ethnic Balkan music and modern jazz improvisation.

Bassist/composer John Funkhouser is an assistant professor of ear training at the Berklee College of Music who, along with leading groups like FunkHouse and the John Funkhouser Trio, has performed with the Aardvark Jazz Orchestra, Pierre Hurel, and piano prodigy Matt Savage among many others. Versatile drummer Mike Connors is an in-demand freelance musician who has toured the world with the likes of national Broadway show companies, trumpeter Andre Rice, and the avant-pop group Combustible Edison.
