MADHATTER’S TEA AND PIANO PARTY ANNOUNCES :

“Behind the Scenes: Composers at the Keyboard.”
featuring: Composer Julia Werntz (Boston Microtonal Society)

First, Second and Fourth Sundays of every month, 1:30-3:30 PM beginning February 29, 2004 (take the leap!)

A new series that brings composers out of the studio and off the university campus to present and discuss important and exciting new ideas in contemporary music, with the Zeitgeist Gallery’s excellent Kawai piano at center stage. Also spotlighting wonderful Boston-area performers. Come witness new works in the making and gain a glimpse into the composer’s workshop, followed each week by a unique Craft Fair featuring work by local artists.

April 4: Composer and Pianist Marti Epstein Professor, Berklee College of Music)

April 25: Tufts University New Music Ensemble (Composers and Improvisers), Donald Berman and John McDonald, Directors

(composers from outside the Boston area will be invited for future events)
