JORGE PEREZ

“Jazz is searching.”
I am a Peruvian born living in North America. Throughout this years, I have cultivated a deep love for Jazz, the musical celebration of life…jazz is people communicating their emotions through music…in real time! “We play what we are.” For this date, I have reunited with my favorite people and musicians to go on a wild musical journey that incorporates elements of my roots. From the coast of Peru to the streets of Beantown …Here south meets north and north meets south. Bebop, Festejos y Landos go hand to hand and Chabuca Granda, Monk and Benny Golson joyfully share a “ceviche.”
