of 20th century spoken word performance. Buckley remains the undisputed King of the
Word Whammy according to his many adherents who acknowledge the influence of his
inspirational model — such as Henry Miller, Jack Kerouac, David Amram, Dizzy Gillespie,
Anita O’Day, Lenny Bruce, Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, George Carlin and Robin Williams.
Eisenberg’s production creates an accurate and gorgeous time-warp into the heyday of Beatdom in America — Lord Buckley style.
