Huntley Miller has built a virtual world for himself and anyone lucky enough to see a live set. Teaching himself to use max/msp (a virtual DSP environment), Huntley is now able to create and improvise Cepia’s beautiful melodies and symmetric beat phrases. Within the next year, Cepia will join the ranks of Ghostly International and Six Records.

SOPLERFO (ZOD RECORDS, GROUNDED RECORDS)
SOPLERFO is Samuel Brelsfoard. He makes music. His goal in his work is to harness sound; control it, yet allow it to have a life of it’s own. Hailing from Somerville, Massachusetts, he spends his winters indoors programming beats and rhythms on his computer. In the summer he’s out and about collecting samples with his microphone. His music ranges from minimal clicks to raucous breaks to sweeping synths to the delicate tones of a Spanish guitar. August 2001 saw his “real world” debut release with the 7” SAMpler EP on his own Crabouiller Record Company. EP For Dogs, his 12” on Zod Records, examines the quieter clickier side of sop.
