lo-fi, alt-country, slowcore

Singer/songwriter Burd Early made his debut in 2000 by introducing the world to his dirt-road indie rock. Bittersweet like Elliott Smith and Death Cab for Cutie but dark and mysterious like Joe Henry and Lou Barlow, Early is a native New Yorker. He can be found playing club shows in and around the city. In summer 2002, he participated in the VPRO Festival in Holland, promoting his debut album “Magnet Mountain.” (Allmusic Guide)

The Strugglers’ Randy Bickford is a modern folk rock artist in the tradition of Neil Young or Dylan. Every so often you discover a diamond in the rough like the Strugglers. You listen, and start comparing: Who do these guys sound like? Maybe early Guided by Voices, Magnetic Fields, early Will Oldham, definitely Smog. Lo-fi, a bit on the gloomy side, but always solid.
