ZAMPANO’S PLAYHOUSE: “Fight it Out!”

Film Series
7:45 – 9:15 pm

Tonight, take a ringside seat for a display of unbridled 20th century
American pugilism in the form of 16mm sand 8mm shorts. See Mildred Burke,
1950¹s wrestling icon, dispatch a rival, Muhammad Ali at his upstart best,
and some quirkier cultural artifacts including a ³Battle Royal² of toddlers.
There¹s always a chance that Irving Klaw will get in the act, too. Tonight¹s
centerpiece is the Twilight Zone episode “Steel,” starring Lee Marvin.
Screened, as always, in lovely 16mm.
