Anya Achtenberg’s fiction & poetry have been published in numerous magazines
& journals, including American Poetry Review, Madison Review, Southern Poetry
Review, & Harvard Review. Her work has won literary prizes from Another
Chicago Magazine, New Letters, the Asheville Fiction Writers Workshop, the Raymond Carver Short Story Contest, & others. Her first book of poetry, I Know What the Small Girl Knew, was published by Holy Cow! Press. &, The Stone of Language, finalist in five poetry competitions, is forthcoming from West End Press. Achtenberg has completed work on Cold Ground, a collection of short stories, & is working on her first novel, More Than the Wind.
Elizabeth Gordon McKim is a poet and educator with roots in both the written
and oral tradition of song, story, and chant. She reads, performs, and teaches
throughout the United States and internationally. Her latest collection of
poems The Red Thread (2003) was published by Ira Wood’s and Marge Piercy’s Leap Frog Press. This April 1st, the Ritual WordArt Series marks her first public
reading from this exciting new collection.
