Late Show: PITCH COUNT with TIMO SHANKO

Concert: Morphine meets Fully Celebrated
10:30 - Midnite
$7 donation

Pitch Count: A new project featuring some of the finest members of Boston’s music scene. They have played all kinds of music, from Jazz to Jewish to Cajun to Rock. The name is a play on words, from the baseball term meaning the number of throws a pitcher makes, but it also refers to the basic elements of music. The band plays a wide spectrum of moods, from the dreamlike Morphine tunes to the frenetic Free Jazz of Fully Celebrated Orchestra. Grant Smith on drums makes the band turn on a dime. Timo Shanko on bass is probably the most interesting sounding musician on the planet. Evan Harlan on accordion has fancy fingerwork and an unbelievable ear. Dave Harris has a take charge attitude on the trombone. Joe Kessler on electric fiddle and vocals is classically trained but has the good sense not to worry about it too much. Try to Catch them!
