ERIK LINDGREN & THE SONARE WIND TRIO’s magnetic and eclectic repertoire
consists of quirky chamber works by Lindgren, Raymond Scott (vintage Bugs Bunny and Warner Brothers cartoon soundtracks), novel arrangements of Edgar Winter Band’s “Frankenstein” and the Rocky & Bullwinkle Theme, plus acoustic reinterpretations of works by Lindgren’s ensemble Birdsongs of the Mesozoic.

INVERT’s compositions range from dark pieces evocative of expressionist soundtracks, to driving works drawing inspiration from rock and jazz. Invert’s music blends melodicism, improvisation, minimalism and a playful sense of experimentation in a modern update of classical chamber music. They have been featured monthly as Galapagos Art Space’s “house string quartet” (NYC) and performed with Rasputina, the Rachels, and Mission of Burma.
