With any luck there will be a light snow falling as we celebrate the season
with some expressions of Yuletide spirituality courtesy of mid-century
American film. Tonight you’ll see an appalling expression of crass 1940’s
toy-mongering, a genuine Christmas “Punch & Judy” slugfest, a Howdy Dooody
show, seasonal 1930’s cartoons featuring Betty Boop and Soglow’s Little
King, and, as the main feature of the night, the classic Honeymooners
episode ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas. All films in festive16mm.
